SCHLTHRN is an institution by MRRN. An imagined place on a real mountain. For anyone who sometimes needs a horizon that reaches beyond the next peak.
The tower has a building history, a plan and a signal of its own. It weathers snowstorms, disappears into fog and returns with the morning light. Sometimes someone sees it from far away. Sometimes knowing it is there is enough.
A little direction. A great deal of longing.

Before the light.
First, a mountain. Then a structure. An idea taking shape.
The SCHLTHRN archive tells an imagined building history through views, plans and records that make this lighthouse seem as though it had always been here. These are not historical documents, but images of a possibility.
Weather comes. The light stays.
A red moon. A snowstorm. Morning light. Sometimes the tower almost disappears. Sometimes it stands clear against the sky. Ten images explore a place that is never quite the same.
The images are available as unframed 70 × 100 cm art prints. Each image leads to its corresponding print.
The light travels.
A lighthouse without a sea. And yet, on the move. In SCHLTHRN Abroad, the light appears in other cities, languages and decades. Twenty imagined encounters between 1927 and 2028.
A year above the clouds.
